A multi-armed oncolytic virus
This invention is an oncolytic virus for melanoma treatment. The virus consists of the following components incorporated into the backbone of a type II herpes simplex virus (HSV-2)-based oncolytic virus: 1) The extracellular domain of the CD47 into the glycoprotein C (gC). This will allow the virus to escape detection by the host’s macrophage/phagocyte cleaning system to achieve prolonged persistence in tumor tissues and thus better killing effect, 2) A secreted form of a chimeric molecule composing of the extracellular domain of EGF and protein L (EGF-PL).
