Materials and Methods for Valorizing Light Alkanes
A method for selectively converting light alkanes, like methane, directly through a one-step process to valuable chemicals like methanol. For the first time, this method allows the use of metal atoms specifically in the +2 oxidation state on metal-organic framework nodes for the selective conversion of methane to methanol at ambient or subambient pressures of methane.
